Web Design is our profession and we spend a lot of time 'surfing' and we have had the opportunity to visit many local town sites.  There are some excellent examples of town sites on the Internet. We have tried to take what we feel are the best ideas from sites visited to come up with a site for Sheringham in Norfolk, UK,  that will do justice to the townsfolk, both past and present, and also help to promote our town.

The at-sheringham-norfolk web site is undergoing a complete revamp and is still in it's infancy.  Once we have a few sponsors, our intention is to develop a site about Sheringham, which will allow visitors to the site to appreciate our community and the amenities within.  We also hope to make the site a focus for information that both local and visiting people may need.  Where 2 eat, where 2 visit, where 2 drink, Clubs, Church information, What's On guide, History, Timetables, Maps, Kids Pages and much more.

We will be including Sheringham, Upper Sheringham and Beeston Regis as our main subjects, however, we will also be adding pages and advertisements about services available locally.

The Site, at-sheringham-norfolk is going to be a mix of what we would call living history - 'now and then' information and where possible photographs of places in Sheringham as they were and how they are now.   For what purpose they were built and what they have since been used for.

Charities will be able to put detailed information on the site to enable local people to easily get to the information that they need.  Also this will give small charities the opportunity to advertise their cause at no cost to themselves.

Clubs and Associations will also be able to publish information, along with Church Services for ALL denominations.  How to contact the Doctor, Dentist, Vet, the tide timetables and if possible public transport timetables also.

We will be looking to local business to help to sponsor this site by placing advertisements on the Local Trade and Where 2 pages.  This will promote both their business and our town.  The ultimate size and detail on this site is going to rely totally on Business Money and Volunteered Information, we already have many willing helpers who are busy scouring the History Books for us.

As a Company a2z Web Design will be donating the time to collate the information and promote the site to the search engines to ensure it is found.

One way we have already begun this task is to purchase the keyword 'sheringham uk' for this site.  This will make it easier for visitors to find and eventually will ensure that our site comes top of the list on the search engines.
