Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach is situated on South Beach Parade and is East Anglia's most popular tourist attraction, occupying a nine-acre sea-front site and encompassing over 70 rides and attractions. The main park itself has over 20 large rides and there are gardens, mini golf courses, water attractions, kiddies rides and, of course, the awe-inspiring Ejector Seat.

In 2000, over 1.5 million people visited the Pleasure Beach, Norfolk, once again putting us in the top ten free entry amusement parks in the UK. For 2001, we aim to add to this, with even more new rides, attractions and innovations.

Our very popular Gallopers have been a prominent feature of the Pleasure Beach since their arrival in 1954. They represent one of the mainstays of British fairground tradition and offer a comfortable alternative to the electronic space-age rides of today.

The ride consists of twelve rows of three horses giving a maximum capacity of 60 riders and is 47ft. in diameter. Each winter the ride is completely dismantled, serviced, cleaned and re-painted where necessary to ensure that it will still be giving enjoyment for many years to come.
